Day 5 – 9: Maasai Mara Conservancy

Drive to Nairobi and depart on an afternoon flight aboard a bush plane to the North Mara. Our focus for the next 5 days will be on epic morning and evening safaris. We'll awaken before sunrise each morning to a hot cup of tea or coffee before heading out into the bush. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, picnic in the Mara under an Acacia tree, shop at a local Maasai market, take a bush walk, visit the White Rhino Sanctuary and be ready to be surprised by some local traditions. Relax at your camp and enjoy the 100 resident hippos from your veranda. There are no boundaries or fences in this camp. This is the richest game viewing section of the entire Maasai Mara. Many documentaries have been filmed here. Also, please note that we are staying in a conservancy and have access to land that the general public cannot be on.

5 nights in North Mara Conservancy
Day 10 – 14: Zanzibar: Dhows, Flavors, and the Magic of the Indian Ocean

The Zanzibar Archipelago, located in the Indian Ocean 15 miles off the coast of Tanzania, is a breathtaking spot to escape from the world. You’ll enjoy clear, turquoise-blue water; shallow sandbars perfect for wading; and many small, nearly deserted islands virtually unvisited by tourists. Explore the World Heritage Site of Stone Town, Zanzibar City’s old quarter. Or just go beach to beach between tiny fishing villages—each one's better than the next.

3 nights Casa Paradis & 1 night Stone Town
Day 15: Fly to Nairobi - Jomo Kenyatta Airport
Fly back to Nairobi, visiting Kazuri Bead Factory & Pottery and enjoy a great lunch.
Return to the hotel to prepare for your flight back home. You may want to extend your trip to Rwanda for a tour of The Land of a Thousand Hills and a Gorilla Trek or escape from the world in Watamu on the Kenya coastline.
